This simple instrictional takes you through a simpler way to create an Elegant yet deady English style huntng or target bow. Gives complete instructions on creating a single layer bow or a multi layer bow

Glueing Instructional for Multi laminated English bows, Bamboo or hickory backed bows.

1. To properly prepare parts for the glue up clamp a jigsaw blade upside down on a bench and drag the glue surfaces of all pieces to be laminated together several times against the blade to dig grooves into the glue surfaces. grooves that are deep and wide enough to put your fingernail into are just about right. For multi laminetd bows such as the English tri and quad lams make sure all the core pieces are also done this way. BE EXTRA CAUTIOUS with the Bamboo as it splits easily Drag the bamboo several times.

NOTE: A simple Course jigsaw blade can be used as a toothing plane. It is extremly important to add deep grooves lengthwise in each piece to be glue. This is to insure the glue has something to grab. Many hardwoods and bamboo have such dense fibers it will not allow the glue to penetrate well. toothing grooves gives the glue something to really GRAB. A hacksaw blade is not quite course enough.

2. Simply apply glue to all surfaces that will be laminated. For multi laminated bows such as the English tri lams and quad lams make sure all parts are glued at the same time.

3.After applying a generous layer of glue put all pieces together. Be careful to wear gloves if using glues that are may be toxic.

4. Wrap the bow tightly with shrink wrap to prevent the glue from sticking to the stretch clamps . This also keeps the pieces in place while wrapping the stretch clamps on.

5. Wrap the stretch clamps onto the bow . Apply a little elbow grease and muscle .You do not really need to overlap as in this picture . Just touch each wrap and a pair of these can easily wrap a bow.

6. Eather put a small clamp onto the end or use tape to keep the stretch clamp from unraveling. These really are faster and easier than conventional clamps. Sure costs less than 50 spring clamps. These stretch clamps can be used over and over and over.

1.OPTIONAL; To add reflex or recurves just give the bow a little extra performance a little clamping action with a single clamp and a block while wrapped with the stretch clamp works quite well. . This works especially well on Multi laminated Bows.
