Add some serious strength to your bow with a heat tempered bamboo strip. Oven cooked for even tempering. 1 1/2" wide after plaining flat by 72 long. Belly side of bamboo is planed flat, ready to be glued onto your bow. Not many other places will you find the belly side planed flat. Bamboo has 3 times the tensil strength than hickory. Adds plenty of insurance and beauty.

Economical way to give your next bow some insurance and durability as well as an attractive appeal. Full 72 length and 2" wide. Put a linen or PURE silk backing on your bow with titebond 2 easily. Adds alot of durablity by not allowing the fibers to rise on the back of your bow, preventing disaster. Goes excellent with our Floor tillered hickory board staves!!

Fiberglass strips for backing a wood bow. Apply with bowgrip or a slow drying over the counter epoxy. Clarifies with the use of clear epoxy. Adds tons of durablity and piece of mind with your next bow making project approximatly 72 long by just short of 2 wide. Simply rough up the back of the wood bow with a hacksaw blade or 40 grit sandpaper and apply this backing by hand . No clamps necissary . Just rub it flat and saturate with glue.Same glass backing materials we use on o0ur own bows. adds waterproofing too.

Glueing instructions for cloth backings. SIMPLE AS PIE!!

Step 1
Apply glue to back of bow . Be sure to use a hacksaw blade to rough up the back
if it is an all wood bow. Sand with 150 grit if it is a bamboo backing. Bow grip is perfect or you can use titebond 2 .

Step 2
Smooth backing onto the back of the bow with your hand.
No special wrap is required.
Be sure to stretch the material a bit as you smooth it down.

Step 3
Apply more glue on top of the material .

Step 4
smooth the material down again as you rub the glue in. scrape  the extra glue off with your fingers. .

Step 5
Let it dry comepletly . Notice how adding the glue has changes the color to a more rich tone. Now just cut the bow out as you normally would. trim edges with a block sander.
