This is a simple $3 course jigsaw blade to use to dig deep grooves into the back of the bow stave belly core and bamboo . This will allow the glue something to really grab onto and create allot of strength. Clamp or screw it upside down on the edge of a bench top or clamp it into a vice.

After the jigsaw blade is securely attched to something drag the glue surfaces of the hickory as well as the bamboo on the teeth of the jigsaw blade creating deep grooves the entire length of the hickory as well as the bamboo. Be very careful not to split the bamboo doing this. Drag each piece several times until you have at least 1/64" deep grooves. Roughing the wood up with sandpaper is not enough to give the glue something to grab especially on hard hickory.

Make sure groove the bamboo as well
as the hickory belly core. Do not glue the riser on at this point. The riser will be attached after the main bow is glued and cured.

Apply glue to both the bamboo backing as well as the pre tapered hickory belly core and wrap completely tightly with stretch wrap to secure the pieces into place. Make sure there are not bare area's showing.

After wrapping is complete lay the thin pieces of hickory strips onto the belly side of the limbs and wrap it again. the thin hickory strips are not to be glue onto the bow. They are simply there to prevent the belly core form splitting when the shaping clamps are applied.

Make sure you wrap the anti splitting hickory strips tightly so that they cannot slide. Again, These strips are used to prevrent the belly core from splitting during clamping and should not be glue to the belly side. There must be a plastic wrap in between the belly core and the anti splitting strips.

Lay the rounded shaping block 5" away from the tips and shrink wrap them onto the back of the bamboo.

Wrap them tightly to prevent the shaping blocks from moving around during clamping.

make sure the shaping blocks are 5" away from the tips.

5
Place the wrapped bow with the shaper blocks onto the block reflex deflex form as shown in the picture. make sure the bow parts are lined up to where the tips are over hanging the edges equally.

Now clamp the shaping blocks down slowly. NOTE you must get the thing clamped before the glue begins to cure. You will probaly be better off doing a dry run before actually apply glue.

Clamp the bow down at least 1 1/2" or 2" . If you use our form clamp it all the way down to touch the form.
Now let it cure. If you cook it to cure the glue heat it up to about 160-180 degrees. The heat will cure the glue better than if not. Heat curing bowgrip is not necissary but WILL make it much stronger and more heat resistant.

The last step is to glue the riser on. Make sure you use the  Jigsaw blade on both glue surfaces to make deep grooves for the glue to grab.

draw and can be used as a reference for tillering. Brace height is about 6"-7"
